Lorraine J. Koehler
Lorraine J. Koehler, 97, Stevens Point, died Sunday,
Jan. 24, 2016, at Ministry St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point.
A private service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in
Milwaukee at a later date.

Mrs. Koehler was born April 16, 1918, in Milwaukee, a
daughter of the late John and Meta Schmidt. She graduated from Girls Tech High
School in Milwaukee. She was a member of the National Honor Society in high
school and was the editor of the school’s yearbook.
She was married to Philipp Koehler June 21, 1941. He
preceded her in death.
They lived in Toronto, Canada, for six
years and Glenview, Ill., for eight years before returning to Milwaukee in
1965.
She moved to Stevens Point in 1997 to be close to family.
She worked for many years as an EKG technician at Colombia
Hospital in Milwaukee.
Survivors include one son, Rick (Sue) Koehler, Mosinee; five
grandchildren, Therese (Tony) Hurley, Sussex, Tim Fortuna, Two Rivers, Jenny
(Greg) Botic, Germantown, Joe Fortuna, Cedarburg, and Jessica Raasch, Wausau; and
10 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Christine
Fortuna.
