Margaret L. Zach
Margaret Laverne Zach, 90, Stevens Point died Tuesday, Jan.
26, 2016, at River View Lodge in Stevens Point while under the care of
A Funeral Mass will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at
Newman University Center, 2108 Fourth Ave., Stevens Point, with the Rev. Thomas
Boston Funeral Home assisted with arrangements. Condolences

Mrs. Zach was born Feb. 27, 1925, in Green Bay, a daughter
of the late Joseph and Myrtle (Diedrich) Sanders. She graduated in 1942 from
Nicolet High School in De Pere.
She received a nursing degree from Marquette University
School of Nursing in Milwaukee in 1946. She worked for the Visiting Nurse
Association and at St. Michael Hospital in Milwaukee until her marriage.
She was married to Robert G. Zach June 25, 1949, at St.
Joseph Catholic Church in De Pere. He preceded her in death.
They settled in Monroe in 1954 and in Wausau in 1991. In
2011 she moved to River View Lodge Assisted Living in Stevens Point.
While in Monroe, she raised five boys. She was a volunteer
at St. Clare Hospital in Monroe.
She did genealogy research for her family. She was a member
of the Monroe sewing and china-painting clubs. An artist, she also created many
canvasses and ceramics.
Survivors include five sons, James (Susan), Custer, Richard
(Kathy), Hazel Green, John (Jen), Stevens Point, David, Milwaukee, and Michael
(Karen), Knoxville, Tenn.; and eight grandchildren, Jennifer, John, Jill (Eric)
Bailey, Sarah, Joseph, Shane, Rachel and Lauren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Donald.
