Joseph (Jack Joe) Jacob Niedbalski, 78, of Stevens Point, passed away on January 27, 2016 at Strawberry Lane Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Wisconsin Rapids.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday February 1, 2016 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church 8611 State Road 54 Almond. Rev. James Trempe will officiate. Visitation on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Military Honor will follow the funeral mass. Pisarski Community Funeral Home of Plover is honored to be serving the family. Joseph was born in Stevens Point to Emil and Helen Niedbalski on July 28, 1937. He graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1955. Entered the service on August 1, 1956 in Milwaukee, He served in the United States Army and also the United States Army Reserve. He was honorably discharged on July 31, 1962. He received the Good Conduct Medal.
He married Arlene Pitsch on October 27, 1962 in Stevens Point. His spent career at Fey Publishing in Wisconsin Rapids retiring in 2000 after nearly forty years. He served his community as an alderman for the City of Stevens Point and Portage County Supervisor. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his early years. He was a pioneer in flea markets car shows and swap meets and “He could sell ice to a SnowMan.” Joe was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling for the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the local AMVETS Chapter.
Joseph is preceded in death by his parents Emil and Helen.
Jack is survived by his spouse Arlene Niedbalski; 3 Sons and 2 daughters John (Sue), Mark, Julie (Lance) Dobbe, Monica (Tim) Lehman, and Chris (Gretchen); 15 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and 1 sister, Carol (Rhody) Grasamkee, Gary, David (Cathy).
