Fix Your Window: A 49-year-old woman was cited for driving with a cracked windshield near Post Rd. and Minnesota Ave. at 12:08 AM.
OWI: A 25-year-old man was cited his first first offense of operating while intoxicated at 2:15 AM at Water and Shaurette streets. The drive was also cited for displaying an unauthorized vehicle registration plate.
Inattentive Driver: Police cited a 55-year-old woman at 7:24 AM for inattentive driving and operating a motor vehicle without proof of insurance and the woman’s car slid in near Fourth Ave. and Second Street.
Failure to Yield: Deputies cited and arrested a 72-year-old man for failure to yield making a left turn on County Tk. W in Wis. Rapids at 7:28 AM. It was not immediately clear why the man was taken into custody.
Disturbance: Police were called to a home on the 400 block of Clayton Ave. after someone reported a 22-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman involved in a disturbance there at 8:26 AM.
News Complaint: Deputies took a complaint from a 56-year-old man at the Portage Co. Law Enforcement Center than he’d read about misuse of 911 in a news article at 10:16 AM.
Slow Down for Kids’ Sake: A 42-year-old woman was cited for reckless driving after a complaint from a school bus driver on the 3500 block of Stanely St. at 7:10 PM.
Stolen Wallet: A 34-year-old woman called police to report she suspected her wallet had been stolen by a 45-year-old man. Inside the wallet was $200 cash, the woman’s Wisconsin driver’s license and a Green Dot Money Card. Estimated value of the loss is $245. The theft allegedly occurred at 7:33 PM on the 300 block of Second Street.
