Esther M. Ostrowski
Esther M. Ostrowski, 96, formerly of Galloway, sister of a Rosholt woman, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at the Homme Home of Wittenberg.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galloway, with the Rev. Augustine Bentil officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 2 p.m. Thursday until the Mass, with a rosary service at 3:15 p.m.

Mrs. Ostrowski was born March 24, 1919, in the town of
Franzen in Marathon County, a daughter of the late Frank and Adelia (Stroik)
Goskowicz.
She was married to Jacob Ostrowski Nov. 7, 1936, in
Galloway. He died Feb. 26, 1990.
They farmed in Galloway for many years. She also worked for
Ernie Bushman for a number of years.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galloway
and the Rosary Society.
Survivors include four children, Rita Rady, Menomonee Falls,
Allen (Deanna) Ostrowski, Galloway, Patrick (Joyce) Ostrowski, Galloway, and
Ann Ortner, Burlington; one sister, Elizabeth Garski, Rosholt; two brothers,
Alvin Goskowicz, Milwaukee, and James Goskowicz, Knoxville, Tenn.; 18
grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Edward; one
daughter, Connie; four brothers, Norbert, Eugene, Julian and Antone Goskowicz;
and four sisters, Eleanor Brzezinski, Bernadette Wanta, Bernice Szeremet and
Wanda Trzebiatowski.
