Walter Nichiporuk, 90, formerly of Stevens Point, died
Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, in Leitchfield, Ky.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at
the Pisarski Funeral Home in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Ted Trifon officiating.
Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m.
Friday until the services.

Mr. Nichiporuk was born Sept. 5, 1925, in Poland, a son of
the late Conrad and Anna (Kivaka) Nichiporuk.

He was married to Antonia in 1977 in Chicago, Ill. She died
Aug. 13, 2007.

After the marriage the couple settled in Chicago until his
retirement, moving to Stevens Point in 1995.

He worked for the Western Felt Company in Chicago.

He played the mandolin and accordion.

Survivors include one son, Nick J. Nichiporuk, Chicago, Ill.;
one brother, Boris (Eugenia) Nichiporuk, Chicago, Ill.; his former daughter-in-law, guardian and caregiver, Susan E. Martin, Leitchfield, Ky.;
three grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
