Essie L. Pierce
Essie L. Pierce, 88, Stevens Point, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 15, at Boston Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lonnie Stine presiding. Burial will be in Amherst Cemetery in the spring.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. Monday until the service. A Women of the Moose ritual will precede the service.

Mrs. Pierce was born May 19, 1927, in Stevens Point, a
daughter of the late Lyle and Leona (Skenadore) Aldrich. She attended local
schools, graduating from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1945.
She was married to Virgil R. Pierce March 9, 1963, in
Racine. He died Feb. 18, 2006.
She was co-owner/secretary at Television Incorporated for
many years. After retirement, she and her husband managed Rivers Edge
She was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge, Eagles Club
and a member of Badger Community Church of Waupaca.
Survivors include five children, Judy (Roy) Perzinski,
Stevens Point, Harlan (Lynn) Pierce, Kenosha, Trudy Mech, New Mexico, Lynella
Kraklow, Plover, and John Pierce, Stevens Point; one sister, Nancy (Robert)
Kozlowski, Kenosha; one brother, Dennis (Bonnie) Aldrich, Kenosha; two sisters-in-law,
Marge Aldrich, Jefferson, and Judy Aldrich, Polonia; 18 grandchildren; and 24
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Marcella
Bannach, Patricia Raney and Inez Schmunk; two brothers, Lyle and Donald
Aldrich; and two sons-in-law, Dennis Mach and Charles Kraklow.
