Scott A. Labott Sr.

Scott Allen Labott Sr., 52, Waukesha, a former Plover resident and son of a Stevens Point man, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016, at Aurora St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee, after a decades-long struggle with health complications.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Sunday, Feb. 7, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home in New Berlin.

Mr. Labott was born July 13, 1963, a son of Allen Labott and
the late Patricia Labott. He attended Woodlawn Lutheran Grade School in West
Allis.
He was injured Oct. 31, 1980, in a car accident that left
him hospitalized for months, first in Oconomowoc Hospital, then Mount Sinai
Hospital in Milwaukee, undergoing numerous tests and procedures. He recovered
and received his high school diploma from Palmyra Eagle High School 1981.
He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in management and human
resources from Ottawa University.
He was married to Lisa Collins in 1990. They later
separated.
He began a decades-long career with the insurance industry
in 1991 with Aetna Casualty and Surety. From there, he worked for Progressive
Insurance, which brought him to Dallas, Texas. He moved back to Wisconsin and
began a 14-year relationship with Sentry Insurance in Stevens Point.
Survivors include one son, Scott A. Labott Jr.; his father,
Allen Labott, Stevens Point; one brother, Allen Labott Jr.; and two sisters,
Vicki (John) Hebenstreich and Donna (David) Przeracki.
