Oscar E. Hopp Jr., 80, Plover, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at St Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover, with Monsignor Jeffrey Burrill officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home in Plover from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the Mass. A parish rosary will prayed at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Hopp was born April 17, 1935, in Stevens Point, a son of
the late Oscar H. Hopp Sr. and Esther E. (Laskowski) Gawlik.
He was married to Patricia A. Krueger Aug. 13, 1955, at St.
Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover. She preceded him in death.
He worked for Consolidated Papers in Wisconsin Rapids,
retiring in December 1994.
After his retirement from the mill, he worked for Spectra
Print Corp. for 15 years making deliveries.
He was the “goal judge” for the University of
Wisconsin-Stevens Point men’s hockey team at the K.B. Willett Arena for 32
years.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Hopp, Plover, and Ryan
(Jo) Hopp, Menomonie; one daughter, Roxann (Kraig) Brooks, Plover; one brother,
Harold (Donna) Hopp, Plover; two sisters, Germaine (Bill) Krueger, Plover, and
Norma Thomas, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Hopp.
