Chester J. Domaszek, 76

Chester J. Domaszek, age 76, of Stevens Point, peacefully passed away on Wednesday Feb. 3, 2016 with family at his side at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, after a lengthy heart condition.
He was born in the Town of New Hope on December 29, 1939. He is the son of the late Walter and Mary (Kozelek) Domaszek. He graduated from Rosholt High School. He married Grace Palbrach on May 6, 1961 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia. They lived in Tacoma Washington where he served in the US Army and the National Guard from 1961 to 1966 as Sargent/Head Cook. He was a life time member of the P.L.A.V. Post 185 Pope John Paul II Polonia, and a member of the Sacred Heart Holy Name Society.
After military service, Chet and Grace moved back to Stevens Point where he was employed at Worzalla Publishing Printing Co. until he retired. In his retirement years he and his wife enjoyed time spent with their son Duane and family at their Wildwood Wildlife Park in Minocqua, WI. They also enjoyed many visits with their daughter Darlene and family and all their special friends in Sobieski, WI.
Chet loved to hunt, fish, gardening, listen to polka music, but most of all he enjoyed cooking.
Chester is survived by his wife Grace, one son: Duane (Judy Bella) of Minocqua, one daughter: Darlene (Steven) Bahun of Sobieski. Three Grandchildren: Ryan (Jen) & Shawn (Fiancé Kim) Domaszek of Minocqua and Brendan Bahun of Sobieski. Three great grandchildren: Emma, Ashlynn & Kali Domaszek of Minocqua. One sister: Delores (Bernard) Brzezinski of Mosinee. Three brothers: Conrad (Rita) of Stevens Point, Paul (Nancy) of Custer & Walter Jr. (Teri) of Niellsville.
Sisters-in-law: Rita (Jerry) Lepak-Kirschling of Stevens Point, Mattie Omitt of Plover & Nancy (Michael) Summers-Pontz of NC. Brothers-in-law: Jim (Cheryl) & Danny (Sandy) Palbrach both of Rosholt and Gary (Karen) Palbrach of Stevens Point. Numerous nieces, nephews & friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws: Ray & Anna Palbrach, Richard Lepak, Jim Omitt, & Christine and Liz Palbrach.
Funeral Mass 11:00 AM Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia. Rev. Gregory Michaud officiating. Burial with military honors will take place in the Parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Monday at the Pisarski Funeral Home at 703 Second St. in Stevens Point and from 9:00 AM until the time of services Tuesday morning at the Church.
