Police & Sheriff Calls, Feb. 5-6

Feb. 5
OWI: A 23-year-old woman was arrested for her first OWI offense after running a red light near Clark St. and Wyatt Avenue at 1:05 AM.
Wrong-Way Driver: A 63-year-old man was cited for driving the wrong way on a divided highway at 2:24 AM near Highway 10 and Skyview Road.
NASCAR Wannabe: Deputies cited an 18-year-old man for driving 80 mph in a 55 mph zone near Highway 66 and County Tk. O at 12:06 PM.
Punched the Teacher: Police were called to a school on the 600 block of Maria Dr. after a 12-year-old student punched a 43-year-old female teacher in the arm at 11:38 AM.
Hit & Run: A 33-year-old man reported another motorist his his vehicle near Clark and Third streets at 3:05 PM. The suspected driver was never found.
Underage Party: A 19-year-old woman was cited by police after a neighbor complained about a loud party at a home on the 1700 block of Briggs St at 11:00 PM. Upon arrival, police observed about 20 people fleeing from the home. Only the tenant was cited.
Feb. 6
Assault: Police responded to an assault at 2:26 AM on the 900 block of Main Street. Additional information was not readily available.
Stolen Cell: A 30-year-old woman called police to report a 26-year-old woman had stolen her cell phone, valued at $100, from a home on the 2600 block of Indiana Ave. at 12:00 PM.
Recovered Property: A 22-year-old woman called police to report she’d discovered several stolen items in a home on the 2000 block of Briggs Street at 2:45 PM. Items recovered included cash, a bank card, multiple purses and wallets, a checkbook, prescription medication and a coat. The items were reported to be stolen from four different people.
Snowmobile Crash: Emergency crews responded to the scene of a one-person snowmobile crash near mile marker 24 in the Dewey Marsh at 2:57 PM. The 23-year-old man was transported to Aspirus in Wausau.
