Karen K. Bates, 65, Wisconsin Rapids, sister of a Plover woman, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, at The House of Dove in Marshfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids, with the Rev. Valentine Joseph officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids.
Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Bates was born Sept. 14, 1950, in Wisconsin Rapids, a
daughter of the late Emery and Florence Jagodzinski.
She was married to Theodore Bates Oct. 16, 1971, at St.
Vincent de Paul Parish in Wisconsin Rapids.
She worked as a hairdresser for 47 years.
Survivors include her husband, Theodore; two sons, Chad
(Arielle) Bates, Aliso Viejo, Calif., and Brandon (Laurie) Bates Port
Washington; two sisters, Jean (Paul) Danielson, Plover, and Linda (Jim)
Krueger, Wisconsin Rapids; two brothers, John Jagodzinski, Wisconsin Rapids,
and Bob (Erin) and Ashley Jagodzinski, Rochester, Minn.; three grandchildren;
and special friends, Tony and Traci Biolo.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Sara Jagodzinski-Daily.
