SPARTA Book Sale Moves to Children’s Museum

For the City Times
The Stevens Point Area Retired Teachers’ Association (SPARTA) book sale has moved to space on the first floor of the Central Wisconsin Children’s Museum building, 1100 Main St. Stevens Point.“We are happy to be back downtown. We loved the size of Jackson School cafeteria but are happy to be within a block of the bus transportation hub near Shopko, off of the city parking lot, and of course, in the Central Wisconsin Children’s Museum building, said Janeen Kwarciany, SPARTA book sale co-chair. “We are looking forward to collaborating with the Children’s Museum during our sales and special events.”
SPARTA will take in gently used books, CDs, DVDs, and books on tape for donation the third Monday of the month from 10 AM to 3 PM beginning Feb. 15.
“Because we have a smaller space, we are sorry we will no longer take encyclopedias, National Geographic and magazines, said Nancy Kemmeter, book sale co-chair.
Those with books to donate should park in the city lot behind the Children’s Museum. A SPARTA member will assist with unloading books.
The group’s spring book sale will be Wednesday, April 27 to Saturday, April 30. More details will be available at a later date.
