Letter: Redfield’s Employee Supports Judge Run

To the Editor-

I write this letter from a unique perspective on Judicial Candidate Jared Redfield. He is my employer.

Since I have been employed by Jared, I have witnessed his interactions with many people. Regardless of whether he is talking to clients, opposing attorneys, or witnesses in the courtroom, he always strives to treat all individuals with respect and compassion. He is able to see situations from an impartial view, and strives to achieve a balance of fairness in each case.

In regards to Jared’s claims that he has a “passion for the Law,” I can affirm. In the short time that I have worked for him, he has taken on a huge variety of cases, ranging from the typical criminal and custody cases to the unusual cases such as farm cases, grandparent visitation, constitutional issues, etc. He has represented individuals in nearly every county in Wisconsin, and even won a case in the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals shortly after I met him.

It has also been clear to me that Jared has a passion for this community. Nearly every week he heads to the jail to celebrate the gospel with the inmates. He is heavily involved year round in the Salvation Army, and is also involved in several other local groups such as Destiny Point Women’s Restoration Home and the Humane Society.

I have enjoyed working for Jared Redfield for the past 18 months. I believe that his integrity, and experience would be a substantial gain for Portage County.
