Joseph M. Schultz, 61, Stevens Point, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, at the Pisarski Funeral Home in Stevens Point.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until the services.

Mr. Schultz was born May 1, 1954, in Stevens Point, a son of
the late David Sr. and Helen (Karch) Schultz. He lived in Stevens Point all his
life. He attended St. Peter Grade school and graduated from Pacelli High School
in 1972.

He went into business with his father as a carpenter, upon
the completion of his apprenticeship program, to work for Schultz Construction.

He was a member of the Golden Sands Home Builders Association
and also served on the Board of Directors.

Later he worked for numerous union contractors and was a
member of Carpenters Union Local 804, where he served as a trustee and job
steward for the union. He also served on the Wisconsin State Apprenticeship
Board for many years.

He was married to Barbara Besiada Aug. 30, 1992, in Stevens
Point.

He was a member of the Stevens Point Moose Lodge 1572 for more
than 30 years.

He was a golfer and recorded two holes in one.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara, Stevens Point; two daughters,
Sara (Todd) Milewski, Sun Prairie, and Beth (Blair) Jamison, Surprise, Ariz.;
one son, Karl (Katherine) Schultz, San Diego, Calif.; five brothers, Vic (Fay)
Schultz, Ernie (Carol) Schultz, David (Darlene) Schultz Jr., Paul (Pat) Schultz
and Chet (Cheryl) Schultz; two sisters, Ruthann (Terry) Nelson and Alice (Jeff)
Johnson; and four grandchildren.
