Claude A. Ross, 82, Stevens Point, a former longtime
Washburn resident, died Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, at his home.


A gathering of friends and family to celebrate his life will
be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Bratley Funeral Home in
Washburn.

Mr. Ross was born May 26, 1933, in Washburn. He graduated
from Washburn High School.


He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for two years.


He worked for DuPont in Washburn for several years.


He was married to Carol Petras Nov. 18, 1978, in Washburn.


The couple moved to Stevens Point where he worked for Sentry
Insurance Company until his retirement.


Survivors include his wife, Carol; five children, Michelle
Mere, Jason Ross, Patrick (Allison) Ross, John Petras and Dan (Karen) Petras; one
sister, Elaine Sorenson; and several grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents.
