Kathryn A. Schmoll

Kathryn A. Schmoll, 79, Stevens Point, a former teacher, died Friday, Feb. 19, 2016.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, at St. Stephen Catholic Church, with the Rev. Jerzy Rebacz presiding. Interment will be in Neva Cemetery in Langlade County.
Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the Mass.
Memorials may be made to Pacelli Athletics.

Mrs. Schmoll was born Jan. 26, 1937, in Antigo, a daughter
of the late Ben and Ima (Walz) Schultz. She grew up in Antigo, attended grade
school and graduated from Antigo High School in 1955.
She attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, majoring
in elementary education. Upon graduation, she became a teacher.
She began her teaching career in Shawano and later found
additional educational opportunities in Birnamwood.
She was married to William Schmoll Oct. 14, 1961, at St.
Mary Catholic Church in Antigo. He died Feb. 28, 2000.
She and her husband relocated to the Stevens Point area in
1966 where she returned to substitute teaching in 1971 after her children had
grown. After 30 years of dedication, she retired.
She was an avid sports fan and involved with the Pacelli High
School Cardinals.
She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Parish.
Survivors include three sons, Mike (Sue) Schmoll, Pat
(Laura) Schmoll and Don (Kathy) Schmoll; and three grandchildren, Alec, Addie and
Elliot.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary and Jane.
