Daniel J. Kedrowski Sr.

Daniel John Kedrowski Sr., 93, Stevens Point, the longtime owner of Central State Welding Co., died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, at the Portage County Health Care Center in Stevens Point where he had been a resident since December.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, at St. Stanislaus Church of Holy Spirit Parish in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Tom Lindner officiating. Burial with military honors will be at a later date in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the Mass.
Memorials may be made to Holy Spirit Parish or Saint
Michael’s Foundation Hospice.

Mr. Kedrowski was born April 7, 1922, in Stevens Point, a
son of the late John and Ada (Raschka) Kedrowski. He attended St. Stanislaus
Grade School, Emerson High School and Hobart Welding School in Troy, Ohio.
He entered the U.S. Army Feb. 3, 1943, in Milwaukee and served
during World War II. He received the American Theater Service Medal,
European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Service Medal and the Good Conduct
Medal. He was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant April 6, 1946.
He was married to Isabel Brilowski 68 years ago.
He was the owner of the Central State Welding Co. until
retirement in 1987. He donated his welding skills for the benefit of various
local churches and charitable organizations.
He was a member of the American Legion, and a charter member
of the American Welding Society.
He spent time with his family at his cottage in Minocqua.
Survivors include his wife, Isabel; eight children Kathryn
(Arthur Pfizenmayer), Thomas, Mary (David Wood), Barbara Weller, Peggy (Thomas
Gabel), Daniel Jr. (Georgia), Kristine Sullivan and Beth; 15 grandchildren; one
stepgrandchild; and five great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers and three
sisters.
