GUILTY: Greenup to See Prison on Sex Assault Charge

By Brandi Makuski
It took the jury less than a day to convict Christian Greenup of sexually assaulting a child on Friday.
Greenup’s trial began on Feb. 23 in Portage Co. Circuit Court. Greenup, 29 of Amherst, was being held on a $20,000 cash bond.
Greenup was arrested last July after a 9-year-old girl told a social worker at her school the man assaulted her. He pleaded not guilty last October.
The conviction carries up to 60 years in prison. Greenup’s sentencing date has not yet been scheduled, according to ADA Elizabeth Constable.
Constable said she was “very satisfied” with the outcome.
