Park Board to See New Bathroom Design for Pfiffner

The Stevens Point Park Board on Wednesday is expected to approve plans for a new bathroom facility at Pfiffner Pioneer Park.
In a memo to the board, Parks Director Tom Schrader said the architect included a roof design similar to that of the park’s bandshell.
“I did stress to [the architect] that we were hoping that the design made the building look something different that a rectangle restroom building,” Schrader wrote in his memo. “Also, we wanted some form of natural light entering the building through skylights/windows and an exterior that had little
maintenance/upkeep.”
Construction for the new bathroom facility was approved last year and built into the 2016 budget. Work is expected to begin this spring. The full design can be found here.
The park board meets at 6:30 PM on March 2 at the Rec Center, 2442 Sims Avenue. The public is welcome to attend.
