Gary A. Moyer

Gary A. Moyer, 67, Stevens Point, died Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, where he fought serious infections during the past month.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at the Shuda Funeral Chapel – Stevens Point, with Deacon Vern Linzmeier officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral chapel from noon Wednesday until the services.

Mr. Moyer was born May 30, 1948, in Stevens Point, a son of the
late Gilbert and Sue (Studinski) Moyer. He attended St. Peter Grade School and
graduated from Pacelli High School in 1966.
He was married to Judy Winecki Feb. 8, 1969, at St. Joseph
Catholic Church.
The couple settled in Stevens Point.
He worked for more than 40 years at the Stevens Point
Journal, starting as a paperboy and working his way up to head pressman when he
retired in 2007.
Survivors include his wife, Judy; two children, Allen
(Stacy) Moyer, Wisconsin Rapids, and Tami (Jody) Mlodik, Ringle; two brothers,
Jim (Marian) Moyer, Stevens Point, and Lee (Char) Moyer, Punta Gorda, Fla.;
three sisters, Anita Moyer, Pewaukee, Marlene (Cliff) Zywicki, Plover, and
Janet Esser, Anchorage, Alaska; and five grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Dave.
