Ministry Health Care Worksite Wellness Summit Coming April 6

For the City Times

Ministry Health Care Worksite Wellness Summit, The Power of Purpose and Direction: Making an Impact with Your Health and Wellness will be held Wednesday, April 6 in the Laird Room of the Dreyfus University Center at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

This summit is open to attendees from throughout the state and is specially designed for anyone charged with health and wellness programming, including company presidents, c-suite leaders, human resource professionals and medical/wellness professionals.

The summit includes ready-to-implement strategies to build best-in-class programs, a keynote address by author Sean Foy, professional development skill-building sessions, and emerging trends in healthcare.

The summit will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $85 for professionals and $20 for students. For more information, including a complete program agenda, please visit. ministryhealth.org/worksitewellnesssummit. Registration is available by calling NurseDirect at 855.642.2273.

The summit is co-sponsored by the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point School of Health Promotion & Human Development, the Portage County Health Department, Portage County CAN, Active Portage County, Stevens Point YMCA and the National Wellness Institute Inc.

The public is also invited to a FREE community program from 5-7:45 p.m. in the same location, which includes activity and nutrition programs, child-specific programming (ages four and up) and community keynote at 6:45 p.m. with Sean Foy, presenting, What Is Your Why? The Power of Purpose.

Sean Foy is an internationally renowned and award-winning authority on fitness, weight management and healthy living. As an author, exercise physiologist, behavioral coach and speaker, Sean has earned the reputation as ‘America’s Fast Fitness Expert’. He has taken his message of ‘simple moves’ fitness all over the world. Sean has appeared on ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS and has spent the last 25 years testing, researching and sharing his findings on how to crack the code to making fitness work and maximizing potential.
