Gary A. Moyer, 67

Gary A. Moyer, age 67, of Stevens Point passed away peacefully Wednesday evening March 2, 2016 at the UW Madison Hospital, where he fought serious infections over the past month.
A Celebration of Life Service for Gary will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday March 9, 2016 at the Shuda Funeral Chapel – Stevens Point. Deacon Vern Linzmeier will officiate. Friends and family will gather to share memories from Noon Wednesday until the time of services at the funeral chapel.
Gary was born May 30, 1948 in Stevens Point, the son of Gilbert and Sue (Studinski) Moyer. He attended St. Peters Grade School and graduated from Pacelli High School in 1966. Gary married the love of his life Judy Winecki at St. Joseph Catholic Church on February 8, 1969. The couple settled in Stevens Point and raised their family.
He worked for over 40 years at the Stevens Point Journal starting as a paperboy and working his way up to head pressman when he retired in 2007. Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reaping the rewards from his garden and the casinos that he attended.
Most of all, Gary loved his family and attended many of his grandchildrens musical and athletic events. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Gary is survived by his wife Judy and their two children: Allen (Stacy) Moyer, WI Rapids and Tami (Jody) Mlodik Ringle; 5 grandchildren: Katelyn and Matthew Moyer; Jacob, Adam, and Sara Mlodik. 2 brothers: Jim (Marian) Moyer, Stevens Point and Lee (Char) Moyer, Punta Gorda, FL.; 3 sisters: Anita Moyer, Pewaukee, Marlene (Cliff) Zywicki, Plover and Janet Esser, Anchorage, AK.; his Godchild Lisa Smith, Milwaukee.
He is further survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Dave and his brother-in-law Roy Esser.
