Registration Open for Run From the Cops 5K

Registration is now open for the 2016 Run From the Cops.
The 5K fun run is open to all ages and hosted by the Stevens Point Police Officer’s Association. The run benefits local youth organizations, and last year proceeds went towards Christmas is for Children and Wisconsin Special Olympics.
This year’s run is dedicated to the fallen men and women of law enforcement.
Registration is $25 through Sept. 22 and $30 on Sept. 23-24. Coffee and donuts, water and bananas will be available before and after the race. Participants receive a t-shirt and awarded medals at the finish line.
Tropies will be awarded for the top three finishers in each age category, top overall male and female and a new category this year — fastest law enforcement officer.
