The WAWP annual conference, which began March 7 at the Holiday Inn and Convention Center, is geared towards female police officers throughout the state. The conference focuses on gender-specific issues in the workplace.
According to this Pia Kinney James, the WCWA membership co-chair and retired investigator from the Madison Police Dept., this year’s two-day conference will focus on female leadership in their respective departments, as well as human trafficking in Wisconsin.
