Izaak Walton League honors new Eagle Scouts

The Bill Cook Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America in Stevens Point held an Eagle Scout Appreciation Banquet at the Izaak Walton League Conservation Center Thursday, Feb. 18, to honor new Eagle Scouts in the Mushkodany District of the Boy Scouts of America.
The Chapter honors the Scouts to show the belief that by attaining the rank of Eagle, a Scout demonstrates character, persistence and achievement worthy of praise.
Scouts attaining the rank of Eagle in the Mushkodany District, which encompasses Portage County, include Daniel Weller, Troop 200; Jonathon Deckers, Ethan Weiss and Tyler Fugina, Troop 201; Bryce Arfstrom, Christopher Cuomo, Andrew Hanneman and Joshua Speers, Troop 205; Aaron Simonis and Ethan Sheets, Troop 290; Tanner Hoerter and Luke Benjamin, Troop 296; Dalton Guinn, Ben Strojny, Hunter Zakrzewski and Ethan Buechel, Troop 298; and Jesse Glodowski and Kaiden Taylor, Troop 299.
Scoutmasters for those troops include Chris Martin, Troop 200; Andrew Weiss, Troop 201; Jason Splinter, Troop 205; Bill Kubisiak, Troop 290; Scot Martin, Troop 296; Kevin Konopacky, Troop 298; and Tom O’Brian, Troop 299.
