Edward C. Lutz Jr.
Edward Carl “Ed” Lutz Jr., 85, Amherst Junction, died
Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Sylvan Crossings in Stevens Point.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19,
at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Amherst, with the Rev. Donald Johnson
officiating. A luncheon will follow. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in
Amherst.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Saturday until
the services.
Donations may be made to Ministry Home Care Hospice.

Mr. Lutz was born April 28, 1930, in Amherst Junction, a son
of the late Edward Lutz Sr. and Hattie (Strauss) Lutz. He attended a Portage
County grade school and graduated from Amherst High School in May 1947.
After graduation he moved to Milwaukee to work for the
American Motor Company.
He was married to Helen M. Schuler Aug. 25, 1951.
When he was laid off from his factory job, he and his wife moved
to his family’s farm in Amherst Junction, where they took over his father’s
dairy farm operation.
He was an avid bowler and bowled several times a week until
a stroke in 2009.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; three children, Donald
(Charlotte), Linda (Tom) O’Day and Dale (Ruth); one sister, Lorraine Price,
California; many grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Konkol.
