John V. Pientka, 56, town of Carson, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at home.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at Pisarski Funeral Home in Stevens Point, with Deacon Richard Rozumalski officiating. Burial will be in St. Bartholomew Cemetery in Mill Creek in the town of Carson.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Saturday until the service.

Mr. Pientka was born Oct. 5, 1959, in Stevens Point, a son
of Vincent and Ruth (Leys) Pientka. He graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior
High School.

Survivors include three children, Asia Kuwja, Danial Pientka
and Shalla Kuwja; his parents, Vince and Ruth Pientka; his siblings, George
(Dorothy) Mayek, Joe (Bonnie) Schroeder, Andy (Brenda) Bricco, Theresa (Tom)
Pliska, Anna (Boleslaw) Kochanowski, Thomas Pientka, Carol (Robert) Bernas,
Loretta (Pete) Czaikowski, Jeannie Pientka and Sara Pientka; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Victor and
Angeline Pientka and George and Mary Leys.
