Vote David Shorr for District 2 alderperson
To the Editor:
You may have seen local yard signs announcing “For Shorr” among lawns in Stevens Point’s District 2. That’s because David Shorr is running for the District 2 seat on the Stevens Point Common Council in the spring election.
Shorr has a great background for serving on the council, including a masters’ degree in public administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
In addition, Shorr is a person with problem-solving ability who brings the skills to work with council colleagues in order to preserve community assets that make Stevens Point a wonderful place to live, work and visit.
Shorr is strongly in favor of financing needed repairs to Edgewater Manor, ensuring affordable housing for our senior citizens, unlike his opponent. Sustainability, conservation and rights for city workers are important values that Shorr will champion, in order to keep the community a thriving, attractive place to live. I urge your support for David Shorr Tuesday, April 5.
