Officials from Portage Co. Emergency Management say flooding in the area is beginning to subside.

Minor to moderate flooding of roadways, yards and agriculture areas have been reported.

County emergency officials are urging residents vigilant of changing conditions and stay off water covered roadways.

“Six inches of water is enough to stall out most vehicles,” said Matthew Dykstra, emergency management director for Portage County.

Reports of damage or unusual incidents should be made to the Portage County Communications Center at (715) 346-1400.
