Letter: Shannon Has Best Qualifications for Judge

To the Editor-
I wanted to write a letter of support for Judge Robert Shannon and express my reasoning for doing so.
Let me start by saying I know Trish Baker and have a great deal of respect for her, and find her to be a wonderful person. She works very hard for the causes she believes in, and deserves credit for her work ethic. However, a circuit court judge needs to be evaluated on numerous levels that need review.
Judge Robert Shannon has practiced law, actively, for over 26 years right up to retirement, until deciding to step forward in service to his home county. He has also represented countless clients directly in courtrooms in over 25 separate counties across Wisconsin. His vast legal experience, coupled with the variation of cases and legal situations, perfectly positions Judge Shannon to continue his service to this county we all know and love.
Objective justice, without partisanship or political ideology, is by far Bob’s greatest asset; along with a spectacular legal mind for reasoning and analysis. Bob will do what’s right, he will always be prepared and will bring the matrix of justice rooted in sound legal background to all cases heard before him.
Bob wants fairness for all, with a firm sense of right and wrong for anyone that may appear before him. I have watched many run for political office for a variety of reasons, and never have I seen anyone more directly committed to pure service, for the goal of objective justice, than Judge Robert Shannon.
Please join me in supporting the election of Judge Robert Shannon on April 5th.
