Nancy T. Groshek

Nancy T. Groshek, 77, Galloway, a Stevens Point native and
mother of three Portage County residents, died Friday, March 25, 2016, at
Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital in Weston.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, April 1, at
St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galloway, with the Rev. Augustine Bentil officiating.
Visitation will be at the church from 2 p.m. Friday until
the Mass.
A memorial will be established at a later date.

Mrs. Groshek was born April 16, 1938, in Stevens Point, a
daughter of the late Stanley and Cecilia (Ziolkowski) Eckendorf.
She was married to Conrad Groshek Nov. 9, 1957, at Sacred
Heart Parish in Polonia.
Survivors include her husband, Conrad Groshek, Galloway;
five children, Mary (Bryan) Buesser, New Glarus, James Groshek, Amherst, Sharon
(Brian) Stratton, Amherst, Duane (Cindy) Groshek, Stevens Point, and Dale
(Toni) Groshek, Holmen; her siblings, Betty (Ralph) Groshek, Milwaukee, Leroy
Eckendorf, Wausau, Diane Myska, Schofield, Germaine (Clarence) Moser, Custer,
Richard (Elaine) Eckendorf, Custer, Doris Ostrowski, Stevens Point, Darlene
(Michael) Kuehl, Custer, and Joan O’Neill, Stevens Point; 10 grandchildren; and
six great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Ernest
Eckendorf.
