Last Candidate Forum Before April 5 Election

On March 30, one week before the April 5 election, the League of Women Voters of Stevens Point is sponsoring a forum for candidates for circuit court judge and the Portage County Board of Supervisors.
The forum will begin at 5:00 PM in the Pinery Room at the Portage County Public Library with the two candidates for Circuit Court Judge.
From 5:40 PM to 6:30 PM, citizens will hear candidates for the county board in districts 3, 4, 5 and 19. Candidates in districts 20, 21, 22 and 24 will speak 6:40 PM to 7:30 PM.
The forum will be moderated by a member of the League of Women Voters, a non-partisan organization dedicated to voter education on the issues of the day. Questions for the candidates will come from the League’s Voter Services Committee, as well as from the audience. Each candidate will have an equal amount of time to address each question in turn, as well as to present opening and closing statements.
The event is free and open to the public.
