Hunter’s Safety Course Offered by PoCo Sheriff

The Portage County Sheriff’s Office is offering a Hunter Safety Course beginning May 16.
Classes will be held May 16, 17, 19 and 23 from 4 PM to 7 PM in the Training Room of the sheriff’s office, 1500 Strongs Avenue.
A class field day will be held at the Dewey Range on May 21 from 8 AM to noon.
A second course will be held in Rosholt beginning April 26. Classes will be on April 26, 28, and May 3, 5 and 10 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the band room of Rosholt High School, 346 W. Randolph Street.
A field day for that class will be held May 7, 2016 from 8 AM to noon at the Dewey Range.
There is a $10 fee for either course and anyone 12 years of age and older may attend. A third class is planned for July in Amherst.
