Lawrence L. Losinski

Lawrence L. Losinski, 90, Stevens Point, died Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at Ministry St. Michael’s Hospital.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Arul Joseph Visuvasam officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Pisarski Funeral Home in Stevens Point from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 11, and in the Faustina Room of the church from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the Mass. The rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Losinski was born April 16, 1925, in Stevens Point, a
son of the late Lucian “Joseph” and Magdeline (Wodarzak) Losinski.
He entered the U.S. Navy June 29, 1943, in Stevens Point and
served as a mailman third class. He earned the Victory Medal, Asiatic-Pacific
Area Campaign Medal and the American-Area Campaign Medal. He was honorably
discharged March 24, 1946, at Great Lakes, Ill.
He was married to Ruth Yach June 24, 1950, at St. Peter
Catholic Church.
He worked at the Stevens Point Division of Consolidated
Papers Inc. for 37 years, retiring in 1987 as a machine tender.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth, Stevens Point; four daughters,
Karen (Dennis) Gloudemans, Kaukauna, Mary (Dennis) Segebart, Littleton, Colo.,
Lois (Jay) Allen, Indianapolis, Ind., and Chris (Jerry) Thompson, Iola; 13
grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Verna Haas,
Bernice Mielke and Gladys Jakusz; and one brother, John Losinski.
