Lawrence L. Losinski, 90

Lawrence L. Losinski, 90, of Stevens Point, died Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at Ministry St. Michael’s Hospital.
He was born on April 16, 1925, in Stevens Point, to the late Lucian “Joseph” and Magdeline (Wodarzak) Losinski.
He entered the U.S. Navy on June 29, 1943, in Stevens Point, and served as a Mailman Third Class, having earned the Victory Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Area Campaign Medal and the American-Area Campaign Medal. His honorable discharge took place on March 24, 1946, at Great Lakes, Illinois.
On June 24, 1950, his marriage to Ruth Yach took place at St. Peter Catholic Church.
Lawrence had worked at the Stevens Point Division of Consolidated Papers for 37 years, retiring in 1987 as a machine tender. His interests included hunting, fishing, watching all Wisconsin college and professional sports, and vegetable gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth of Stevens Point; daughters, Karen (Dennis) Gloudemans of Kaukauna, Mary (Dennis) Segebart of Littleton, Colorado, Lois (Jay) Allen of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Chris (Jerry) Thompson of Iola; grandchildren, Kimberly (Justin) Musser, Lindsay Grubba, Sarah (Justin) Hackbarth, Jared, Amanda and Hannah Segebart, Heather (Jason) O’Neill, Justin (Christine) Lukasavige, Rachel (Alan) Miegel, Tyson Lukasavige, Heidi (John) Pliwko, Ben Thompson and Nick (Stephanie) Thompson; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Mackenzee, Sydney, Hudson, Sawyer, Drew, Kendal, Ava, Amanda, Chloe, Brie, Jack, Brynn, Connor and Lucas.
In addition to his parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by his sisters, Verna Haas, Bernice Mielke and Gladys Jakusz; and brother, John Losinski.
Lawrence, always in our hearts and minds. You will never be forgotten.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point with the Rev. Arul Joseph V. officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday at Pisarski Funeral Home, 703 Second Street, Stevens Point, and again on Tuesday morning in the Faustina Room of the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time for Mass. The rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
