Kenneth D. Palmer
Kenneth D. Palmer, 64, Junction City, died Saturday, April
A time of visitation and sharing of memories will be held from
3 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 22, at Boston Funeral Home in Stevens Point.

Mr. Palmer was born July 2, 1951, in Milwaukee, a son of the
late Daniel and Mary (Weisenmyer) Palmer. He grew up there, attended the local
grade schools and graduated from high school.
Following high school, he worked on a merchant marine ship
as a deck hand until later becoming the bike MD at Benz and Sons Cycles. He
later attended Culinary School in the Milwaukee area and became a chef.
He relocated to the Stevens Point area where he found work
at The Restaurant at Sentry.
He was married to Janet Benz. They had two daughters, Kelsey
and Kendall. They later separated.
He continued to work on bicycles, finding additional
employment at the Hostel Shoppe in Stevens Point. In addition, he worked
various jobs until he was employed at the Biron Paper Mill. He worked there for
numerous years until returning to school where he earned a degree in civil engineering.
He later found work as a chef for North Haven Assisted
He was married to Shirley Williams in 2009.
He was a past member of the Milwaukee Air Gun Combat Club
and was an Eagle Scout.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Palmer; two daughters,
Kelsey (Shaun) Brock, Rudolph, and Kendall (Justin) Zellner, Milladore; two
brothers, Jim Palmer and Roger Palmer; and two grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Keith Palmer.
