Walter K. “Butch” Bicknase
Walter K. “Butch” Bicknase, 67, a former Amherst resident
and father of two Portage County residents, died unexpectedly Tuesday, April
12, 2016, at his home in Northridge, Calif.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst.
The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst assisted with

Mr. Bicknase was born May 6, 1948, in Elgin, Ill., a son of the
late Walter H. and Esther (Jauhola) Bicknase.
After graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Army
and served during the Vietnam War from Oct. 16, 1967 to May 24, 1970.
Survivors include three children, Barbara Radtke, Port
Edwards, Susan Strong, Plover, and Adam (Jennifer) Bicknase, Stevens Point; a special
friend, Marcy Seegar, Northridge, Calif.; three sisters, Linda (David)
Dombrowski and Karen Dombrowski, both of Amherst Junction, and Sandra (Bruce)
Groshek, Amherst; one brother, Wayne (Maureen) Bicknase, Tucson, Ariz.; five
half-sisters, Ruth Hoover, Dorothy (Harry) Elvey, Grace (Steve) Krstich, Donna
Feitsma and Nancy Reese; three half-brothers, Earl (Harleen) Bicknase, Richard
(Karen) Bicknase and Robert (Carol) Dorband; seven grandchildren; and one
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Michael
