Betty Lou Kurz

Betty Lou Kurz, 93, Rudolph, a town of Eau Pleine native, died Friday, April 22, 2016, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 28, at the Wisconsin Rapids Moravian Church. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in the town of Grand Rapids in Wood County.
Visitation will be at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, and at the church from 10 a.m. Thursday until the services.

Mrs. Kurz was born Aug. 4, 1922, in the town of Eau Pleine,
a daughter of the late Irvin and Edna (Roth) Zimmerman. She graduated from
Rudolph High School in 1940 and was her class salutatorian.
She was married to Henry Kurz Feb. 14, 1944, in Rudolph. He
preceded her in death May 7, 1981.
She was an active member of the Rudolph Moravian Church, a
member of the Rudolph Senior Citizens and the Rudolph American Legion
Auxiliary.
Survivors include six children: Miriam (Bob) Lueck, Sue
Babcock, Bill (Lisa) Kurz, Sandy (Steve) Ohr, Deb (Jim) Ashbeck and Ken (Deb)
Kurz; two sisters, Marge (Warren) Kutz and Delores Jensen; 12 grandchildren;
and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, James; and one brother,
Wayne Zimmerman.
