Ernest Shemanski

Ernest “Ernie” Shemanski, 73, Mosinee, a Stevens Point native, died Monday, April 25, 2016.
A prayer service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, at Boston Funeral Home in Stevens Point. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the service.

Mr. Shemanski was born July 5, 1942, in Stevens Point, a son
of the late Ted and Grace (Wroblewski) Shemanski. He grew up in Stevens Point
and attended St. Peter Catholic Grade School and Pacelli High School.
He worked at St. Michael’s Hospital for several years before
moving to Milwaukee where he attended Milwaukee Area Technical College. He was
employed at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee before returning to the
Stevens Point area.
He was also employed doing farm work.
He was inducted into the Wisconsin National Guard on May 7,
1956. He transferred to the Army Reserve in December 1956. He was later
honorably discharged.
Survivors include one brother, Leroy (Barbara Shippy)
Shemanski, Stevens Point; and numerous cousins.
