UWSP’s Karlen invited for tryout with Seahawks
University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) senior
defensive end Aaron Karlen has been invited to attend a rookie tryout camp this
weekend with the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL).
A native of Edgar, Karlen was a First Team All-Wisconsin
Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) selection and a D3football.com
Second Team All-West Region choice last fall as a senior for the Pointers,
after he recorded 61 tackles and led the conference with 11 sacks, which tied
for 10th in Division III
The 6-3, 245-pound defensive end was a D3football.com Third
Team All-American, First Team All-West Region and First Team All-WIAC performer
as a junior, when he had 37 tackles and eight-and-a-half sacks.
Karlen went undrafted in last weekend’s NFL Draft.
