Raymond L. Rekowski

Raymond L. Rekowski, 88, Stevens Point, died Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 9, at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Stevens Point, with the Rev. Jerzy Rebacz officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the Mass.

Mr. Rekowski was born May 11, 1927, in Stevens Point, a son
of the late Sylvester and Mary (Kulas) Rekowski.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as an
aviation mechanic and earned the Victory Medal and Asiatic-Pacific Area
Campaign Medal.
He graduated from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
He was married to Lillian Klish Nov. 27, 1948, at St. Peter
Catholic Church in Stevens Point.
He worked as an electrician at Preway in Wisconsin Rapids
for 42 years before retiring.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Catholic Order
of Foresters, AMVETS and the Polish Legion of American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian, Stevens Point; three daughters,
Carol (John) Lake, Marilyn (Leonard) Mocadlo and Donna (Daniel) Wheeler, all of
Stevens Point; one brother, William (Evelyn) Rekowski, Stevens Point; seven
grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Irene Pudroski;
and one brother, Gilbert Rekowski.
