Stolen Kayaks: A 23-year-old man reported someone had stolen two kayaks from a locked storage unit of his Harding Ave. home at 11:36 AM. The kayaks were valued at $250 each.

Identity Theft: A 52-year-old man reported to police that someone had possibly stolen his identity at 1:15 PM.

May 4

Dark Biker: A 56-year-old man called police to report a bicyclists riding in the median and without lights near Highway 10 and Oaklane Court at 9:23 PM.

Harassment: A 41-year-old woman reported being threatened and harassed by an 18-year-old man at her Rocky Ridge Dr. home at 5:33 PM.

May 5

Flag Thief: A Portage Co. deputy reported seeing a 23-year-old man waving an American flag, likely stolen from a nearby residents on the corner of Illinois Ave. and Stanley St. at 1:54 PM.

Stolen Flag: A 65-year-old man reported someone stole his American flag and damaged the mailbox at his 95th St. South home at 10:41 AM.

Hitchhiker: Deputies found a 61-year-old man hitchhiking along I-39 at 1:54 PM who said he was trying to get to Michigan. Deputies drove him as far as Mosinee.

Silencio: A 45-year-old man called police to complaint about booming noises coming from a nearby Cinco de Mayor celebration near Bobby’s Lane at 8:31 PM.

Suspicious Person: A 38-year-old man reported seeing a suspicious person on the 100 block of Bukolt Ave. at 4:29 AM.

Busted for Bad Brakes: An 18-year-old woman was cited for operating without capable brakes after a one-vehicle crash near Church St. and Michigan Ave. at 7:21 AM.

Driving Without a License: Police cited an 87-year-old man for his second offense of driving without a valid license on the 1600 block of West River Dr. at 9 AM.

Angry Former Employee: A 35-year-old female employee at a business on the 1000 block of Brilowski Rd. called police to report a 30-year-old woman made threats to workers there at 9:14 AM.

Disorderly Conduct: Police cited a 17-year-old boy for disorderly conduct on the 1000 block of Clark St. at 9:48 AM.

Threats at the Water Dept.: Employees at the Stevens Point Water Department, 300 Bliss Ave., called police after a 25-year-old man there made threats at 12:39 PM.

Disorderly Students: Police were called to an elementary school on the 2900 block of Blaine St. at 1:37 PM after an 11-year-old boy assaulted a 10-year-old boy.

Assault: Police responded to a reported assault on Wilson Ave. at 11:12 PM.

Fourth Operating After Rev: A 26-year-old man was arrested on a probation violation after being pulled over for his fourth operating after revocation at 11:26 PM near Post Rd. and Willow Street.

May 6

In the Park After Dark: A 34-year-old woman and three men, and 30-year-old and two 20-year-olds, were warned by police after being in Jordan Park after closing hours at 1:33 AM.
