Wayne R. Wayerski
Wayne Raymond Wayerski, 65, Junction City, died at his home
in the town of Eau Pleine Saturday, May 7, 2016, due to neuroendocrine cancer
of the lung contracted by Agent Orange while serving in the U.S. Army in
Vietnam.
Per his wishes, there will be no funeral services.
A memorial celebration of his life for close friends and
family members will be held at a future date and location, which has yet to be
determined.
John J. Buettgens Funeral Home in Wausau assisted with
arrangements.
Mr. Wayerski was born March 10, 1951, at home on the family
farm in the Junction City area, a son of the late Raymond and Bernice
(Kurzinski) Wayerski.
He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1969 to 1971 in
the 18th Engineer Brigade.
He was married to Carolyn J. Kisling June 20, 1975. She died
April 7, 2013.
He retired from Carpenters Union 804, where he worked as a
supervisor and project engineer on hospitals and clinics locally and throughout
the United States.
He built his home on his family farm and planted nearly 10,000
trees on his property, He was an avid bird watcher and twice was named as one
of the Top Ten Farmers of the America.
He was married to Julia A. Link in 2015.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Wayerski; four sisters,
Shirley (Ron) Hertel, Tina (Ernie) Feltz, Janis Klismith and Diane Feltz; two
brothers, Ken (Cindy) Wayerski and Dale (Angie) Wayerski; and six stepchildren,
Christopher Totten, Brad Totten, Shane Totten, Adam Rawson, Mark Rawson and
Elizabeth Link.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Lila; and
his first wife, Carolyn Wayerski.
