Dean D. Birkebak, 67, Junction City, died Sunday, May 15,
2016, at his home.

Memorial services will be scheduled at a late date.

Mr. Birkebak was born April 2, 1949, in Oshkosh, a son of
the late Clarence and Agnes (Trettin) Birkebak. They moved to Lindsey when he was
9 years old, and he attended area schools. He graduated from Marshfield Senior
High School in 1967 where he played football.

He was employed at Biron Mill of Consolidated Papers and
later Stora Enso. He retired in 2004.

He was married Jean Gustin in 1976. They later divorced.

He was then married Patricia M. Brittain in 2005.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia; two sons, Matt
(Allison) Birkebak, Milwaukee, and Jeremy (Jessica) Gustin, Wisconsin Rapids;
two stepchildren, Sean (Heather) Brittain, Beloit, and Edward Brittain,
Junction City; one sister, Raechael Shirland, Lafayette, Colo.; and one brother,
William Shirland, Denver, Colo.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Alice
Rodziewicz.
