Dorothy L. Lewis, 89, Arbor Vitae, a Stevens Point native
and mother of two Portage County residents, died May 21, 2016, at home after a
brief illness.

A celebration of life service will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday,
June 10, at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff.

Mrs. Lewis was born Oct. 28, 1927, in Stevens Point, a
daughter of the late Christopher and Anna (Dorger) Landowski. She attended area
schools and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School.

She was married to John O. Lewis Oct. 13, 1945. They were
married for more than 70 years.

She worked for Uhlemann Optical and Big-A Card Co. in
Stevens Point and No Sweat Clothing Store in Minocqua.

Survivors include her husband, John, Arbor Vitae; four children,
Cheryl (Tom) Bablitch, Minocqua, John (Karen) Lewis, Minocqua, Terry (Marilyn)
Lewis, Plover, and Richard (Joan Wimme) Lewis, Stevens Point; one sister,
Evelyn Opperman, Stevens Point; one brother, Gerald (Phyllis) Landowski,
Rosholt; eight grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; nine great-grandchildren;
and two great-stepgrandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one infant brother,
Robert.
