Marcine ‘Marcy’ Laska

Marcine “Marcy” Laska, 72, town of Hull, died Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield after an 11-year battle with multiple myeloma.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 26, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Rosholt, with the Revs. Greg Michaud and Dennis Stanchik concelebrating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. Thursday until the Mass.

Shuda Funeral Service & Crematory in Stevens Point and
Plover assisted with arrangements. Condolences may be offered online at www.shudafuneral.com.

Mrs. Laska was born Sept. 30, 1943, in Stevens Point, a
daughter of the late Alois and Lucille (Skrzypkowski) Stanczyk. She graduated from
high school and attended college in Indiana for two years.

She then returned to the area.

She was married to James Laska Sept.
14, 1968, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Stevens Point.

They settled in Stevens Point.

She worked locally as a beautician for many years and also
was the bookkeeper at the Town & Country Chateau Bridal for 30 years,
retiring in 2005.

Survivors include her husband, James; three children, Dale
Laska and Jason (Sharon) Laska, both of Stevens Point, and Christel (Andy)
Simonis, Mosinee; one brother, Jerry (Shelby) Stanczyk, Rudolph; and two
grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Bob Stanczyk;
and one infant sister.
