SPASH students Alia Murillo (right, seated), 17, Dalton Tuskowski (left, seated),18 and 17-year-old Eryn Lehay, show Gov. Scott Walker a video made the their video production class on Monday.
The class had just completed recreating a High School Musical movie trailer, changed slightly to reflect the senior class’ upcoming graduation on Sunday. The video will be shown during the 2 PM ceremony.
The governor was in town to recognize the students in the class, who were earning dual credit for both high school and Northcentral Technical College, something Walker called a “win-win”.
“This is one of the premier dual-enrollment programs,” Walker said on Monday. “It really gives students a head start on what we’ve funded through the Department of Public Instruction.”
The students had become proficient using Fine Cut Pro, a cloud-based program used by professionals for editing video, after several lessons from teacher Todd VanderLoop.
