James Thomas Lenzke, 73, Iola, a retired technical editor of an old cars magazine, died Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Theda Care Regional Medical Center in Neenah.

A celebration of his life will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 29, at Iola Senior Village Clubhouse in Iola. Burial will be in the Caersalem Cemetery in Wild Rose at a later date.

He was an organ donor, and his family asks that people
consider becoming an organ donor by signing their driver’s license as donors.

Voie Funeral Home in Iola assisted with arrangements.

Mr. Lenzke was born Nov. 19, 1942, in Racine, a son of the
late William and Violet (Kannenberg) Lenzke. He graduated from William Horlick
High School in Racine in 1960.

He was married to Nancy Drinnan June 20, 1960.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University
of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1965.

His varied working career included executive vice president
of Racine Junction Savings and Loan and technical editor of Old Cars Weekly
Newspaper at Krause Publications in Iola.

He authored numerous automobile reference books.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; one son, Stuart (Anna Sun);
two daughters Lizabeth “Betsy” (Addison) Tower and Sarah (friend Brian Hoving)
Blumenstein; two brothers, William (Creta) Lenzke and Robert (Barbara) Lenzke;
and three grandchildren.
