City Times Staff
McDill Lake District has contracted Schmidt’s Aquatic for a 51-acre chemical treatment being applied today on Tuesday, May 31.
Members of the public are asked to avoid boating for the day. Pets should not be allowed to drink from the water for the next five days.
Residents should also refrain from using the water for irrigation for the next seven days.
The diquat chemical treatment is being used to remove invasive Eurasian Water Milfoil and Hybrid Water Milfoil that was found in McDill pond during fall 2015 and spring 2016 surveys.
